Along the icy shores of Lake Michigan today atΒ Pier Cove, I captured the orange/yellow afterglow of the sunset. Three hikers are shown on the far left, providing a sense of scale to the beautiful scene. Ice, sand and free flowing lake waters mix to provide an amazing landscape, bringing pleasure to the eye…
That photo would make a great blog header. Beautiful.
Good idea Anneli π I might just do that, thanks π
Great for the winter time anyway and then you can switch to a spring theme later if you want.
Beautiful photo!
Thank you! I hope you are having some nice sunsets in Canada π
Gorgeous light!
Thanks Eliza π There have been some pretty sunsets here lately.
Brushes used by nature is always wonderful.. Thank you for capturing the magic created in sky.
Thank you π
Stunning capture.
Thank you Raewyn π
So many wonderful elements the colors, the ice. The people make the composition adding a sense of scale and place. Great shot, Jeffrey.
Thanks Jane π I’m glad you noticed how the people give the image more of a sense of scale. That’s exactly what I intended and I like doing that in my photography when the subject is large, or in some cases very small π
An excellent technique- revisited it for this week’s photo challenge on scale. In places like the national parks it really helps.
Wow! Just gorgeous.
Thanks Pat! π
The light is gorgeous in this
Thank you so much Nora π
Wonderful! π
OMG that is beautiful!
The light and scale are breathtaking… I especially love the reflections on colour in the little pools of water… Thank you for this beautiful photography!
Thanks so much! I’m happy you are enjoying my work π
