This morning I saw the first robin of the year here as the skies were sunny and beginning to melt the recent snowfall. Its been a mild winter in Southwest Michigan, although the month of March has been colder and had its share of snowfall so far. I’m looking forward to no more snow soon until next winter 🙂

All fluffed up – nice shot, Jeffrey!
Thanks so much Eliza 🙂
Great picture. So different to our Robins on this side of the pond. Here we have them all year round and they are particularly noticeable in the winter. They are a special part of Christmas.
That sounds great Libby 🙂 Thanks for the comment.
I think you’re dreaming–dreaming of spring. I can’t imagine we’re done with the white stuff yet. But then, I’m a little farther north.
lol, I’m an optimist at heart 🙂 The snow in the picture already melted.
It is so wonderful seeing the first Robin and the melting snow. Spring is near!
Yes, its melting fast! 🙂
I see you have the same kind that we have – they have snow beside them. A new batch has flown in recently. This kind has bare ground around them. Your robin looks happy and bright. It’s so good to see them after the long winter!
Thank you Anneli 🙂 The snow in my photo melted today. I can hear the birds singing right now.
So glad to hear it. I always feel sorry for the birds when it snows. Life is hard for them then. Looking forward to more spring-like days.
We haven’t had a robin sighting yet. I’m ready for the cold to be gone for sure. Nice shot!
Thank you 🙂
