The winds along the shore of Lake Michigan built strength as the day progressed Saturday. I visited several Michigan lighthouses shown below as the wind driven waves crashed into the structures.

I have only been once to Chicago when I was really little, where my grandfather immigrated, became a superior court judge, and purchased prime real estate on Lake Shore Drive.
No one in my family ever goes back.
I wonder why, especially since I was the only offspring of my generation that wasn’t born there.
Glad I’m not in a boat.
