Nature’s Mirror

I was happy to find this shoreline of Autumn colors reflected in a small lake yesterday. I enjoy finding tranquil scenes such as this.

Beauty in Nature

The local rooster decided to visit again today looking for the bird feeder overflow of seeds. This time he allowed me to photograph him much closer. I was impressed with the beauty of his feathers as you can see in the images below 🙂

Pink Surprise

I found this little pink colored surprise waiting for me outside my door today and had to share it here. It actually was quite large for moths I’ve seen, this one measuring about 4 inches wingtip to wingtip. Its been a while since I posted, hopefully I’ll have more time the rest of this summer. In the meantime, enjoy nature’s work of art here 🙂

Note: A good friend of mine pointed out that this is probably an Imperial Moth. Here’s a link with more info 🙂

Eastern Bluebird

The royal blue of the Eastern Bluebird is always a pleasure to see this time of year. Their sweet songs and vibrant colors are a welcome sign of Spring. You may notice birdhouse boxes in many parks and backyards built for them which has helped to boost their population over recent decades. This has followed a long decline due to loss of habitat.

I took this photo in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula during Fall color. The Porcupine Mountains are a great place to enjoy spectacular views anytime of year, but Autumn is my favorite.
